The staff at School
Name Public School extends a warm welcome to all of our returning
students and parents as we begin the 2002-2003 school year. A special welcome
is given to those of you who have joined the School Name
community over the summer months and to our year one Kindergarten students.
The staff at School Name are committed to developing and
implementing a curriculum that not only meets the academic expectations as
provided by the Ministry of Education but also addresses your child's
individual intellectual, physical, social and emotional needs. During the
2001-2002 school year, staff members collaborated with students and parents
toward establishing the four pillars of a Professional Learning
Community: a mission statement, our vision, values and goals. These
four pillars form the foundation on which we will endeavor, over the next
three years, to build a professional community of learners. Through mutual
co-operation, emotional support and personal growth, students, staff and
parents will work together to accomplish what we cannot accomplish alone -- high
standards of learning that we expect all students to achieve.
We look forward to working together through the months ahead and trust that
the information found within this site that is useful as you plan for the
year to come. Watch for our monthly newsletters on the first school day of
each month.
